Three generations, one block, still close

For this Currumbin family, the goal was never just about adding space, it was about staying close. With their kids now grown and starting families of their own, this build gave everyone room to grow without growing apart.

The result is a beautifully elevated 60m2 Granny Flat, perched above the block to make the most of the natural surrounds and take full advantage of the leafy outlook. A generous 12m2 deck extends the living area, framed by timber posts and overlooking the tree canopy, it's a peaceful, private space that's the perfect spot to enjoy family catch ups. 

Inside, the open-plan kitchen and living area is finished with sleek white cabinetry, a herringbone tile splashback, stone benchtops and quality stainless steel appliances. Warm timber-look flooring runs throughout, with large windows and sliding doors drawing in natural light and framing the surrounding greenery.

This build now supports three generations living on the one block. The parents are in the new Granny Flat, their children in the main house, with grandchildren growing up just steps away. It's family living exactly as it should be: independent, connected, and close.
